Given the economic times today, many households are looking at their personal finances and considering what their options are. Some are looking for a second or third job just to pay their bills at the end of the paycheck. Others are working in constant fear and high stress of being downsized or laid off. Many have what I call the golden handcuffs which is now more like a golden noose.

Women Changing Lives
Karen Caprino-Burg knows a thing or two about life balance and being prepared for change.
Early in her career, Karen found herself raising a daughter as a single mother, while carefully navigating her way up the corporate ladder. For fifteen years, she oversaw the design development and facilities management of corporate offices for her employers.
It was her mother's sudden diagnosis with breast cancer that first changed the course of her life. That diagnosis, coupled with a strong desire to go back to school to finish her undergraduate degree, led Karen the University of Louisville and ultimately into medical school.
While attending medical school, Karen met her soul mate, Mark. Moving to Springfield, Illinois to be with Mark, she shifted her graduate work to Human Developmental Counseling. Marriage to Mark brought a whole new adventure and a blended family of five children and and all the busy-ness and financial pressure that comes with supporting a large family.
Their first attempt to create a freedom lifestyle involved the opening of three franchise restaurants, with Karen overseeing the day-to-day management for all three. It didn't take long to realize that the businesses would never bring the kind of freedom they were seeking. In 1999, introduction to an Inc 500 International manufacturer of safer, healthier wellness products did fulfill its freedom promise.Karen and Mark escaped from the pressure of their remaining thousands of dollars in debt and relocated to a home they love in Indianapolis.
Through their home-based business, Karen discovered her real passion and founded Women Changing Lives. She knew there were women "out there" who were just like herself. Not like our moms or grandmothers but women in search of personal, spiritual and financial wellness. Karen embodies an attitude of gratitude and recognizes that part of her journey is guiding other women to achieve what she has found.
To assist in this, she and husband Mark own and publish the well-received Indy Metro Women magazine monthly in order to inform, support, encourage and provide resources to enhance women's lives in the greater Indianapolis and surrounding areas. At Women Changing Lives, Karen is building a community of highly successful women who have changed their lives and are helping other women change theirs by creating a life of freedom, flexibility and wellness.
Karen regularly speaks to groups on topics related to success, empowerment and wellness choices. To inquire about a presentation for your women's group,
