"I had just returned from being away on vacation and saw the title of the Business Women Connect webcast for later that afternoon. With all that I had on my plate, I did not have time to take a break but I somehow sensed that I needed to register for this one being that the topic was so intriguing. It ended up being the best $20.00 investment I have made in some time."

Public Lies Reveals a Mother’s Attempt to Rescue Her Children and Herself
Children are often thrown in the middle of spousal battles, making it difficult for an unwanted marriage to dissolve. In many cases, when running away is no longer the answer, loving parents make the decision to reclaim their life, their children and their happiness.
Brenda Youngerman describes the struggles of a single mother in her newest release, Public Lies (Outskirts Press). Public Lies is the story of a woman who chooses to take her children and flee her marriage to start a brand new life. Reality sets in when her children begin to question their father’s whereabouts and she realizes she cannot continue to hide from her past. She decides to return home and face her problems, which include dealing with her abusive husband who wants nothing more than to avenge her for leaving him and disappearing with their children.
“Public Lies is about courage, the depth of love and the strength of a mother,” says Youngerman. “But most of all, it’s about the millions of victims who feel trapped, confused, hurt and alone. These men and women need to know they have options and that help is available.”
Brenda Youngerman is the author of the bestseller Private Scars and an advocate of domestic violence legislation. She was born and raised in Southern California where she grew up in a broken home and pulled herself out of a destructive marriage. Youngerman still resides in Southern California and has been a single parent for 14 years.
Join us Tuesday, August 12 as Brenda Youngerman discuses:
- How to put children first in the midst of separation or divorce
- What signs to look for in an abusive relationship
- How to start a new, healthy life over
